VERNON HILLS, IL, July 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul A. Lindauer, DDS, MAEd, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than 40 years of service to the dental profession, Dr. Lindauer has provided outstanding patient care while developing the next generation of dentists to meet tomorrow's challenges. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago in 1979 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Loyola University Chicago School of Dentistry in 1981. Upon graduation from dental school, he immediately joined the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. The Navy selected him for endodontic residency training at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, Bethesda, Maryland. After completing residency training, he achieved diplomate status from the American Board of Endodontists in 1990. A lifelong learner, Dr. Lindauer earned a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education in 2019 from East Carolina University and completed the ADEA Leadership Institute in 2020 to further enhance his teaching and educational leadership skills.
Dr. Lindauer provided dental care for the United States Navy and Marine Corps for more than three decades. In his role as Commanding Officer, First Dental Battalion/Naval Dental Center Camp Pendleton, he led 95 dentists and 250 support personnel who delivered dental care to 45,000 Marines and Sailors deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operations Iraqi Freedom I and II. After retiring from the Navy in 2014 at the rank of Captain, he joined the faculty at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine where he serves as the Assistant Dean for Academic Success and Endodontics Division Director. In these roles, he works with students to identify ways to enhance their performance and professional growth. His goal is to promote academic success and enrichment for enrolled students.
The ECU School of Dental Medicine Class of 2016 honored Dr. Lindauer with the Outstanding Faculty Award and was chosen by his peers as the inaugural winner of the Four Corners Study Club Leadership Award in 2017. Dr. Lindauer is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a charter life member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Lindauer's personal mission is to create a positive environment that facilitates student learning and optimum patient care, forge solid, inclusive community relationships and establish a solid team of future dental leaders who will be well equipped to meet whatever tomorrow brings.
