Ms. Ibañez began her vocation as a public relations director at Abu Dhabi Inter-Continental Hotel from 1980 to 1984, while concurrently serving as a guest relation's officer at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dubai in 1980, and a public relations director at Sheraton Hotel in 1984. Between 1984 and 2005, she found much success as the president and chief executive officer of TeleMed International HO Inc. Following this period, she remained active in her role as a concert producer and a coordinator for the Manhattan Seventh Day Adventist Church Master Class Concert Series in New York from 2005 until 2010. She maintained affiliation with the Ambassadors Chorale Arts Society, and the Asian Society.
Since 2010, Ms. Ibañez has built a prolific career as president and chief executive officer of Black Gold Technologies Corporation. In this capacity, she specializes in fluid dynamics via her double-patented blowout preventer and oil spill recovery management system invention known as the SmartBOP, which is a fully automated system designed to prevent oil spills and explosions, protect the environment, save lives and foster cost efficiencies in the oil and gas industry.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Ibañez has volunteered her time and services for health and wellness causes pertaining to diet changes, and has served as a goodwill ambassador to Southeast Asia under the auspices of Mrs. Imelda Marcos Girl Scout Program. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud of serving as one of two people in the world to have patented the SmartBOP within the last 100 years, thereby assisting in safety procedures for the oil and gas industry.
