Drawing on years of professional experience, Dr. Alkaram excels today as a urologist and transplant surgeon with Salem VA Medical Center. Outside of his main career path, he has dedicated himself to Qatar Red Crescent as a volunteer on relief missions in Niger and the India-Pakistan area. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Alkaram has contributed to articles in professional journals such as the Journal of the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
An expert in his field, Dr. Alkaram established a nonprofit clinic in Iraq in 2003, which provides free medical services to 180 to 200 patients per day. He has also trained 60 doctors for their ACLS and BLS certifications through Qatar Red Crescent and Hamad Medical Corporation. To commemorate his accomplishments, he was recognized as a Top Urologist and Transplant Surgeon via Top Doctors in 2021. In a career filled with highlights, he is most proud of providing urological services at Salem VA Medical Center and founding a urology department in a new hospital in Abu Dhabi.
