FAIR HAVEN, NJ, August 11, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alan E. Davis has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
For more than 35 years, Alan E. Davis, of Counsel, has thrived as a Partner at Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP in Woodbridge, New Jersey. As an attorney, Alan E. Davis practices franchise law, a business-related area of the law that helps companies widen their reach by opening other locations. He is also an expert in mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Davis became involved in his profession because he was inspired by his father who was an insurance defense attorney. He didn't want litigation; instead, he wanted to be part of the legal industry's business side.
Prior to pursuing a law career, Mr. Davis entered the United States Army. He was promoted to Captain where he held the roles of Chief of Administrative Services Office and Chief of Military Personnel Office at headquarters in Ft. Myer, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University, where he graduated cum laude in 1962, followed by a JD from Columbia Law School in 1965.
He spent his early years as an attorney and then partner at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer. In 1983, his law firm Ravin, Davis and Sweet merged with Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith and Davis, where currently Mr. Davis is of counsel.
In addition to his work representing clients, Mr. Davis has contributed articles to legal publications and magazines, including "How Thirty-Four Words May Make A Difference" in New Jersey Auto Retailer Magazine, "The New Protest Statute: Some Observations One Year After Adoption," in New Jersey Auto Retailer Magazine, "Buyer Beware: Buyer's Assumption of Seller's Ordinary Liabilities In Asset Purchases," in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, "Potential Pitfalls of Corporate Distributions," in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and "Partnering Means...?" also in the same publication.
When asked about his greatest personal achievements, Mr. Davis was quick to name his son, Bradley, his daughter, Jana, and three beautiful grandchildren. He has resided with his wife, Lynda, in Fair Haven, New Jersey for the last 44 years.
