Ms. Scianna is a recent graduate of Alfred State College, State University of New York, in the college of technology, who, in 2021 was hired as the coordinator of event management and equipment services. The following year, she was named as the coordinator of campus recreation, where she has been responsible for overseeing the scheduling, organizing of fundraising events, and other routine functions. She also became the assistant women's soccer coach. In addition to her responsibilities in these roles, Ms. Scianna began serving as the coordinator of parent and family affairs in 2022.
Excelling in events management, Ms. Scianna notably assisted the college's hockey team in raising over $2,000 for a scholarship for one of its former players, who died in a car accident. She credits her success so far to the environment on campus, the ongoing support that she receives from faculty, and the encouragement she receives from her family.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Scianna is interested in securing a position in health and wellness leadership, either in a personal training position or by remaining in college athletics or recreation, which would allow her to assist athletes in reaching their goals. Furthermore, she aspires to obtain certification in therapeutic recreation so that she can continue working in the field in a more salutary capacity.
An avid proponent of giving back to her community, Ms. Scianna enjoys volunteering her time with various organizations, such as the Special Olympics. She has also served as the president of the Sports Business Club and is active on a local women's soccer team.
A graduate of Alfred State College, Ms. Scianna received a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2020. During her years in high school and college, she garnered experience as a referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation in Poughkeepsie, New York, as an event staff member and head resident assistant at Alfred State College, and as an equipment and operations intern for Washington Spirit in Maryland. In 2017, Ms. Scianna was recognized as the Rookie of the Year in soccer. She was also the recipient of an Outstanding Student Award for Sports Management during her undergraduate years.
