MONROVIA, CA, August 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gregory Lawrence Minton, EdD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Minton is a coordinator of special education services for the Redlands Unified School District. In this capacity, he oversees several areas of K-12 education, including non-public schools, private schools, and district-wide elementary programs. He also coordinates the teaching staff that serves the Home–Hospital Program for students who cannot attend school in person for extended periods either due to mental health or physical challenges. Moreover, Dr. Minton is responsible for overseeing speech-language pathologists throughout the district to confirm they are providing consistent and exemplary services to their students.
Dr. Minton's academic background is comprehensive and includes a Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Justice from the University of Redlands, which he attained in 2011, and a Bachelor of Arts in education from the University of Windsor, earned in 1995. He also received a Master of Arts in History from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Guelph in 1992. He began as a special education teacher with Redlands USD in 2006, and served on the adjunct faculty of the University of Redlands from 2011 until 2013. Dr. Minton is a member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) as well as the Redlands Association of Professional Administrators (RAPA).
An innate ability to work with a variety of people across divisions and disciplines is behind Dr. Minton's success in academia and administration. He also prides himself on advocating for parents who are concerned about their child's academic progress and advancement. With a solid belief that all students can be successful if provided adequate support and necessary accommodations, Dr. Minton is a champion of students and always promotes equity, inclusion, and justice.

As a lifelong learner, he is persistent in seeking a deeper understanding of how to enhance students' learning and engagement as they navigate the public school system, regardless of disability or other limitations. Looking toward the future, Dr. Minton hopes to become the director of a public school district special education department to be more instrumental in providing better support to students, families, faculty, and staff members.
