SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Natasha L. Walden, 1SG, U.S. Army (Ret.), has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Walden is the outreach director of The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, a nationwide system of mental health clinics that provides high quality, integrated mental health care to post-9/11 veterans and their families. She is actively involved in managing and executing the clinic's strategic plan for outreach and cultivating the referral network, serving her mission to empower people, especially transitioning women and veterans, to recognize when they need help. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Walden was a data manager for the clinic, and she served for 20 years in the United States Army with the rank of first sergeant.
Leveraging her extensive military and community contacts, Ms. Walden recruits veterans, military reservists, national guard members and active-duty service members, who were involved with rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of Sept. 11th. She also interacts with military family members in the region and other community partners, such as Veterans Affairs (VA). She is proud that Endeavors has recently opened up a Veteran Wellness Center that relies on a six-pillar model to nurture all of the aspects that contribute to overall wellness. In fact, Ms. Walden participates on the Endeavors Diversity and Inclusion Committee as the training coordinator, through which she educates others on equity awareness.
Ms. Walden has an impressive academic and professional background, including a Bachelor of Applied Science in sociology from Georgia Southwestern University. She has also earned valuable related credentials, including the Advanced Coaching Certification from the International Coaching Federation and the Women in Leadership Accelerator (WILA). Moreover, she has been named an Equal Opportunity Advisor and Mediator and a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer. Ms. Walden is an expert in mediation and conflict resolution.
Growing up in a military service family, Ms. Walden attributes her personal and professional advancement to the fundamentals with which she was raised, including a strong work ethic and determination to succeed. She plans to seek another certification to align with her interest in coaching around the diversity and inclusion platform, and she maintains relevant memberships with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, and the Non-Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA), Veterans Healthy Minds Advisory Council South Texas. Ms. Walden is also affiliated with several vital female veteran organizations, including International Association of Military Women of Color (I.AM.WOC), The Pink Berets, Women Veterans Network (WoVeN), Women Veterans of San Antonio, and Grace After Fire.
