Since joining the firm in 1993, she has specialized in elder law, VA eligibility, special needs planning, retirement planning and estate and Medicaid planning and eligibility. As a partner, Ms. Steiner conducts meetings with seniors and their families who don't have estate or Medicaid planning in place, networks with other elder law attorneys and helps personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys who need special needs trusts for those that are disabled.
Prior to joining Solomon, Steiner & Peck, Ms. Steiner gained valuable expertise as a summer associate with Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP, later becoming as Associate Attorney there. Even prior to attending law school she was employed at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty CO., L.P.A as a Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal. In conjunction with her work, she dedicates herself to the Professional Network of Ohio, where she serves as president. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, she aligns herself with Elder Law Answers, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (both nationally and the Ohio branch), the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Akron Bar Association.
A certified elder law attorney (CELA), Ms. Steiner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from The College of Wooster and a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (Magna Cum Laude). Due to her wide range of knowledge, she has contributed to various publications, including Boomer and Beyond magazine and "Aging Answers," a supplement to Northeast Ohio Parent magazine.
To commemorate her professional achievements, Ms. Steiner has been honored many times, earning recognition through Lawyers of Distinction and Super Lawyers. Similarly, she was named as one of the 10 Best for Attorney-Client Satisfaction through the Elder Law Division of the American Institute of Legal Counsel and won the Torch Award for Integrity in Business. Ms. Steiner also passed the National Elder Law Foundation elder law certification exam on the first attempt to become a CELA and worked with a committee to establish an elder law section as a part of the Ohio State Bar Association.
