GODDARD, KS, August 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Trever Allen Krehbiel, MD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Krehbiel is recognized for II years of dedication to the mental health field through his role of Medical Director at three Kansas community health centers, staff physician at another mental health center, 2 hospitals, as well as Medical Director and owner of Kansas Mental Health Medicine (KMHM).
Dr. Krehbiel has served as the Medical Director of South Central Mental Health Counseling Center for the past 11 years, Sumner Mental Health Center for eight years, and Iroquois Center for Human Development for four years. He's also served as a leader and staff physician for Four County Mental Health for the past 9 years. More recently, Dr. Krehbiel started and has been building his own practice at KMHM. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the mental health center's four locations, which includes overseeing patient care and managing the medical department by staffing, scheduling, and overseeing/evaluating staff. Dr. Krehbiel has also served to care for patients in the inpatient setting over the years at both Via Christi Hospital in Wichita and Newton Medical Center in Newton, KS.
Dr. Krehbiel attributes his Success to a strong work ethic and ability to work humbly alongside others. He credits these qualities to his upbringing both on the family farm and family construction company. Drawing from that past, he is dedicated to building and retaining a team of quality staff members and recognizes that his team is integral to his accomplishments. Looking toward the future, Dr. Krehbiel aims for Kansas Mental Health Medicine to continue to become a premier mental health clinic in the state, and he intends to continue supporting and facilitating the missions of the other community mental health centers with which he works as well.
Dr. Krehbiel originally set out to become a construction engineer at Kansas State University. During his undergrad years, he held multiple jobs concurrently in construction, landscaping and also worked in the hospital as a nurse's aide. Ultimately, the connections he established at the hospital inspired him to apply and ultimately enroll in medical school. During his third year, he completed a rotation in psychiatry at University of Oklahoma and made the determination to focus his professional career on the specialty. Dr. Krehbiel holds a bachelor's degree in life sciences from Kansas State University and a Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and served as Chief Resident. He is certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds a Kansas State Medical License.
As a commitment to his field, Dr. Krehbiel is active with several industry-related organizations. These include the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, the American Medical Association, the Kansas Medical Society, the American Psychiatric Association, the Kansas Psychiatric Society, and the Kansas Community Mental Health Center Organization of Medical Directors and Psychiatric Staff. He was awarded the VJ Reddy Award .in 2022, which is awarded to an outstanding medical professional within the state community mental health centers.
Finally, Dr. Krehbiel's most proud accomplishment is his family. He is the father of four wonderful children and has been married for 18 years. He and his wife met at K-State and are proud to call Kansas home. They enjoy chasing the kids to all of their various sports, camping, swimming, fishing, hunting, and just about anything outdoors. Dr. Krehbiel's wife, Jenny, manages KMHM alongside him and he can't imagine running the clinics without her support.
Additionally, his parents, sister and her family, and brother all live nearby. They are an extremely tight knit family and Dr. Krehbiel feels blessed to have that strong bond and support next door!
