Supported by thirty-seven years of professional experience in sales and marketing, Mr. Conover presently serves as president of the Americas region for the Engineered Stone Group, where he maintains responsibility for all operations, sales, service, and the growth of the business. An accomplished and goal-oriented sales and marketing expert, Mr. Conover previously served as director of customer support of the Americas region, president of the Asia-Oceania-Africa region for CFS (Convenience Food Systems), while based in Bangkok Thailand, and then president of the Americas region after CFS' merger with GEA through which he worked for nearly fifteen years.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Conover served as Service Representative, New Equipment Representative, Branch Manager, and eventually moving up to Senior Manager reporting to the President of China Tianjin Otis Elevator Company, (CTOEC) which was a part of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) based out of Tianjin, China. This part of his career spanned over 15 years as well. To remain aware of developments affecting his field, he has maintained professional alignment with several organizations, including the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, POLY-COM, the Building Owners and Managers Association and Toastmasters International, for which he previously served as vice president of a local branch.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Conover earned a BS degree from Florida State University, as well as a sales certificate from Otis University. To commemorate his accomplishments, he has received several Largest Contract Awards and numerous Largest Margin Awards. In a career filled with highlights, he is most proud of negotiating a $30 million sale, the largest contract for food equipment in Egypt at the time, and in closing a $15.5 million sale on the same type of equipment for a food producer in Australia. An additional standout moment was selling a double-deck elevator in Dallas, TX for nearly a million dollars in 1987 with United Technologies Otis Elevator.
Mr. Conover attributes his success to not being afraid to take chances and delivering on his promises. Looking toward the future, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. Ultimately, Mr. Conover aims to obtain a board position with the company, so that he can add experience, value, and direction to the Engineered Stone Group.
