A leader in the healthcare philanthropy, not for profit social service organizations and retirement industries, Ms. Whipple utilizes her expertise in these fields to contribute to the client success and operations of a New York based fintech company that is "building the new generation of wealth" by providing an easy and affordable retirement benefits platform for small businesses to navigate the challenges of the Great Resignation. Additionally, Ms. Whipple is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and has represented Nebraska on boards of directors, the Philanthropy Council and the Chamber of Commerce. She effectively practices a work/life balance for the benefit of her son, her family members and colleagues.
Prior to assuming her current role, Ms. Whipple began her career as an overnight specialist in the emergency room for a regional hospital and three rural hospitals. During daytime hours, she served the foundation under the mentorship of the vice president of philanthropy and system development who has utilized her insight and skill sets to make a regional, state-wide and international impact. She experienced the treasure of "paying it forward" firsthand, developing and helping others get what they want first as a personal mantra.
During her time at the regional health system, she advanced to a coordinator role, driving a wide range of process development and technology study and acquisition. Utilizing those experiences and relationships, she went on to serve as a manager of community relations for an international organization dedicated to the support of the intellectually challenged community. She later accepted the role of a community relations officer for the state of Nebraska.
With a "People First" leadership style acquired, Ms. Whipple advanced to managing the daily operations of a nationally recognized retirement planning company. Ms. Whipple, a single parent from the beginning, utilized her expertise in these fields to manage the operations and strategic support. She had been in a leadership position, promoted consistently, in the operations and strategic information technology adoption, leading of seventeen people in four different departments. She also interacted and delivered services to her clients directly on a daily basis while administering the retirement plan, as well as building partnerships and relationships with external vendors.
Prior to and during her professional journey Ms. Whipple earned degrees in medical coding, health information management and healthcare business administration from Northeast Community College, Central Community College and Clarkson College. Additionally, she holds certifications from the Nebraska Department of Insurance and the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. She has also secured the Securities Industry Essentials Exam through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority for training development.
Ms. Whipple has been honored with a President of the United States Education Award. An accomplished athlete, she received the Outstanding Female Leadership and Athlete Award from the National Girls and Women in Sports Day as well as the Gatorade Will to Win Athlete Award. Recognized with the U.S. Army Reserve Sprit of Victory National Scholar and Athlete Award, she won the All State Academic and Athletic Award for her dual dedication to athletic and scholastic achievement. She was also named as the recipient of the State of South Dakota Regents Award for Scholar and Athletic Excellence, Player of the Year and Elite 15. Ms. Whipple also received the Mayo Clinic's Outstanding Project in Medicine and Health Award, University of South Dakota's School of Medicine Scholars & Research Apprentice Award and Clarkson College's Academic Excellence Award for Highest Grade Point Average.
In the near term, Ms. Whipple plans to continue her development in leadership. She believes in surrounding herself and mentoring talented individuals that bring value to the organization. Her goal is for this development to benefit both current and advancing leaders in the field, as well as further assisting clients.
