Drawing on over three decades of expertise, Mr. Petty specializes in executive-level technical, operational and financial management. Since 2006, he has built a prolific career as an entrepreneur, co-founder and chief executive officer of ERP International LLC. In this capacity, Mr. Petty is responsible for providing support to the federal government and the department of defense in health solutions, medical research, digital transformation, software development, cybersecurity and data stabilization.
Mr. Petty initially became involved in his career as a staff accountant at Labat-Anderson Incorporated in 1985. Between 1987 and 1989, he garnered expertise in accounting and secondary mortgages at Freddie Mac and, subsequently, in federal document retrieval at Primark, where he worked from 1989 to 1995. Mr. Petty went on to find much success as a senior manager, chief financial officer, and president of the Ingenium Corporation from 1995 until 2006.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Petty pursued an education at James Madison University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1984. As a commitment to his field, he was certified as a public accountant in 1991, and has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Young Presidents' Organization. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Petty has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake, Adoptions Together, Baltimore Station, Healthcare for the Homeless and the Fisher House Foundation, among other organizations.
In his career-related endeavors, Mr. Petty has co-authored such works as "Profiles in Success" for Bernhardt Wealth Management in 2016, and has been featured in the "Increasing Organizational Success" article of Business in Focus Magazine in 2015. Well regarded for his contributions to the field, he has received multiple awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Community Transformers Foundation in 2022, and the Ernst and Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Mid-Atlantic region in 2021.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Petty is most proud to have been named in the Corporate Diversity Index List by the Washington Business Journal, and to have his daughters working alongside him at the company.
