An accomplished entrepreneur, Ms. Blackburn serves as the driving force behind several commercial ventures in her home state of Ohio. In this capacity, she has distinguished herself as an owner and operator of Whitetail Acres Wedding & Event Venue, located on her family's scenic property in 2020. In collaboration with her family members, Ms. Blackburn identified a need for an event venue in the region and set out to make their vision a reality.
Previously, Ms. Blackburn established Aspire Home Health Care Services LLC, a home health agency that provides trained, licensed and insured staff to care for people in their homes at every stage of life. She started the company in 2012 after graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions, and continues to serve as its administrator. Having demonstrated an interest and aptitude in entrepreneurship, she went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2016.
A volunteer within her local community, Ms. Blackburn is active with the Rotary Club, her county's Republican central committee, and the local chamber of commerce. She attributes much of her success to hard work and the support of her family, friends and community.
Among her many career accomplishments, Ms. Blackburn is especially proud of the impression she has made on her two children, who witness their mother not only working hard but also being present in their lives. In accounting for her success as a parent, she credits her flexibility, which has afforded her the flexibility to be active in her children's school and extracurricular activities.
