With more than 40 years of excellence in steelwork and project management to his credit, Mr. Biggs has found success as a technical writer and consultant. In this capacity, he works on behalf of GP Strategies Corporation and TTi Global. Since 2021, he has focused his efforts on writing the standard operating procedures for the company, leveraging his keen attention to detail to ensure that procedures are accurate and clear while writing detailed instructional manuals for operations and systems.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Biggs began his career as a millwright and head expeditor for the United States Steel Corporation Gary Works in 1976, after which he joined East Gary Concrete Block and Brick Inc. as a machine operator. Following this role, he functioned as a senior project developer for Auten Technical Service Inc. in 1988 and as a temporary foreman for slitter operations for Acme Steel in 1993. In 1999, he became a senior valuation consultant for Applied Engineering Resources Inc., where he worked until 2003, after which he joined Ryerson Coil Processing. He subsequently worked with Needham Technical Services Inc. and Auten Technical Services, Inc. as a general manager from 2013 to 2018 and later accepted a role as a technical writer, consultant and project manager for the U.S. Steel department of Alliance Group Technologies. There he maintained the computer network systems for the business, keeping inventories of new equipment.

As part of this work, he was a member of Shutterbugs, a group for professional photographers. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, he served as a session member and co-ed softball coach for his local Presbyterian church.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Biggs completed a U.S. Steel Millwright Apprenticeship in heavy and industrial equipment maintenance technologies in 1981. Additionally, he undertook various photography courses and graduated from the McColly School of Real Estate to expand his expertise. Having left a legacy of expertise in his professional life, he intends to retire within the coming years to spend more time with his wife and family.
