ALPHARETTA, GA, September 26, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Goggin has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Well-regarded for his expertise in building client relationships, billing and fraud operations, sales and production support and information technology, Mr. Goggin brings more than 30 years of professional experience to his role as the chief operating officer at CloudQ, an information technology company that provides comprehensive, economical cloud computing strategies. Since joining the Alpharetta-based company in 2020, his responsibilities have included oversight of finances, operational areas, and recruitment, as well as management of the global CloudQ offshore teams.
Mr. Goggin began his career with Metrophone in 1991, where he had the opportunity to be part of the growth of the wireless phone industry, with subsequent positions at Comcast, Southwestern Bell, Cingular Wireless and AT&T. During his tenure at Cingular Wireless, he was granted the 2007 CIO award for leading the successful testing of the original iPhone launch. He continued his career as the senior director of quality engineering for the software company Amdocs, a move that presented Mr. Goggin with tremendous opportunities for travel and working among different cultures. He went on to work briefly for Cox Enterprises before being recruited to the role of business leader for Quality Engineering in Atlanta.
Dedicated and ambitious, Mr. Goggin obtained a bachelor's degree from Cabrini University in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration from the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in 2012, both summa cum laude, while working full-time and raising a family. In addition to his formal schooling, he attributes much of his success to his ability to maximize opportunities when they present themselves; he does not shy away from challenges, instead viewing them as paths toward career advancement.
Outside of work, Mr. Goggin is a donor and participant with the Atlanta chapter of Access Life America, a nonprofit organization that helps children and families facing a cancer diagnosis. He also volunteers to raise money for multiple sclerosis research and testicular cancer. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key International Honor Society, and sits on the steering committee for COO Forum Atlanta.
