SPRINGFIELD, OH, September 26, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clayton James Horrighs has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Aligned with Speakeasy Ramen since 2018, Mr. Horrighs serves as the restaurant's executive chef. In addition to managing the kitchen, he utilizes his knowledge of the culinary arts to plan menus and events, oversee purchase orders, source suppliers in local industries, and engage in community relations to support the restaurant's business goals. Prior to his involvement with Speakeasy Ramen, Mr. Horrighs worked with Uncle John's Family Restaurant for nine years and acted as a kitchen and restaurant manager for Chris' Steakhouse for three years. He was also affiliated with Gilligan's Food, Aya Cook House, and Saint James Gate.
Mr. Horrighs attributes his success to the support of his grandparents, Bill and Lana Kazenski, who have been motivating forces in his life during the best and worst of times. Having fostered a love for cooking since he was young, Mr. Horrighs has climbed the ranks in his field through a combination of skill and natural talent. Over the course of his career, he gained culinary experience by working in various capacities for a number of renowned restaurants; he continues to evolve by remaining open to learning new techniques and developing in his position as a chef. While working with Aya Cook House, he became enamored with the flavors of Asian cuisine and has since made the cookery his specialty.
With the goal of attaining a James Beard Award, Mr. Horrighs is aiming high for the future. He intends to build an empire of restaurants, including two more Asian or farm-to-table establishments.
