Mr. Gaudreau is particularly proud that two paintings from his "Something About Books" series were selected by such publications as Oxford University Press and Horizons Magazine.
PARAMUS, NJ, October 04, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Gaudreau has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Best known for his unique take on the expressionism movement, Mr. Gaudreau has earned distinction for his work as a contemporary artist for nearly four decades. Dealing primarily in the mediums of oil paint and pastels, the majority of his vivid portfolio defies casual analysis, but primarily focuses on the abstract, figurative or surreal depiction of people engaged in a variety of activities and behaviors, including his playful "Buskers of the City" series and the richly evocative "Humans in the Dark" compilation, among many others.
Other muses include various architectural forms, as well as books – in the latter case, Mr. Gaudreau demonstrates a marked fixation with the potency of education. An autodidact in his own right, this has been best exemplified by his "Something About Books" series, an accumulation of more than 35 paintings that highlight the best qualities of books, from the whimsical joy of learning to the weight and heft of a tome containing important information. Among his most cherished accomplishments, Mr. Gaudreau is particularly proud that two paintings from this series were selected by such publications as Oxford University Press and Horizons Magazine to feature on the front covers of their planner book and May/June 2020 edition, respectively.
Well-regarded for his multifaceted body of work, Mr. Gaudreau's portfolio has featured in several exhibitions throughout the years. To wit, his "Human Behaviors" series was displayed at the World Fine Art gallery in New York in 2005, while "Something About Books" was highlighted at the Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts in Plantation, Florida, in 2006. Furthermore, his work returned to the World Fine Art gallery for "Revealing More Human Behaviors" between 2009 and 2010. Mr. Gaudreau has participated in several group exhibitions as well, such as the World 2.0 Urbanside Gallery in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2022, the Swiss Art Expo in 2020 and Gallery Gora in Montreal, Quebec, in 2006, to name only a few. Most impressively, Mr. Gaudreau has also been invited to the Florence Biennale, a prominent art exhibition held in Florence, Italy, on several occasions since 2007.
Mr. Gaudreau's portfolio can be viewed and purchased online via his website or through Artbox Publish. To remain aware of developments in his field, he remains active with the Allied Artists of America.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Gaudreau credits the influence of his grandmother, Louise, who supported and encouraged his efforts to become an artist while coming of age. Looking toward the future, he aspires to invest more of his time in the digital sphere and beyond, hoping to expand his viewership to a wider audience through the internet. He also hopes to serve as a mentor on behalf of those who share in his passion for the creation of vivid and thought-provoking art.
