MELBOURNE, FL, October 05, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph Franco has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dedicated to serving his students, Mr. Franco has distinguished himself as a music teacher for several years. Since beginning his studies on piano and violin from a young age, he has developed a lifelong passion for music and has devoted himself to sharing his passion with the children in his local community. He credits much of his success to his innate dedication to providing a well-rounded education on behalf of his students, which naturally entails a comprehensive exploration of the musical arts.
To prepare for his teaching career, Mr. Franco earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami in 2015. Following his graduation, he began working for Brevard Public Schools as a teacher at Edgewood Junior/Senior High School in Merritt Island, FL. At Edgewood, he teaches chorus, orchestra, and AP Music Theory while attending to any administrative work, as well as corresponding with parents and colleagues as needed. As part of his dedication to his field, he serves as a member of the National Association for Music Education and the Florida Music Educators Association. Mr. Franco is also the sponsor of his school's chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, a national student organization dedicated to community service and advocacy for the arts.
Under his leadership, Mr. Franco's students have made significant achievements and received numerous honors and accolades over the course of his career. His ensembles have earned Excellent and Superior ratings at district and state music performance assessments. His high school chorus students have been invited to perform at Disney's Candlelight Processional at Epcot for several consecutive years. Many of his students have participated in All-County, All-State, and All-National honors ensembles, and two of his students have had the unique opportunity of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
An accomplished musician in his own right, Mr. Franco regularly accompanies his students on piano and spends his spare time writing and performing his own compositions. Much of his most recent work has been written for and premiered by his students. Looking toward the future, he plans to continue teaching, as he loves his students and his work, while remaining open to other opportunities for him to express himself on a creative level.
