Drawing on her expertise in retail, merchandising and human resources management, Ms. Paez has been recognized for her leadership as the co-owner of the Grocery Outlet in La Mirada. In this role, she is primarily responsible for the marketing and administration management of the business, handling the hiring and financial aspects of the store while her husband of ten years, who is also a co-owner, handles daily operations.
A dedicated businesswoman, Ms. Paez attributes much of her success to her hard work, as well as her generous spirit. While her career has been marked by many successes, she is most proud to have exerted a positive impact on her customers at a personal level. To wit, if she is checking out someone at the register at the Grocery Outlet and their credit card is declined, she goes above and beyond to pay for them and make a difference.
Ms. Paez has served as the co-owner of Grocery Outlet since 2019. Previously, she served in active-duty with the U.S. Navy, which included service in San Diego, California, on the CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt. Following this period, she worked as a technician at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions – Microelectronics Solutions.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Paez contributes to the Good Samaritan Pantry, Neighborhood Life Church, Beatitude Food Bank and Grace Evangelical Free Church, and has made donations to the Interfaith Food Center. In addition, she is a member of Kiwanis, her local chapter of Rotary International, her local chamber of commerce, and on the board of directors of Love La Mirada. In recognition of her extensive volunteer work in her community, she received the woman of the year award in 2020.
