ELMHURST, IL, October 10, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Syed Sadiq Hassan, MD, FACP, FRCPI, FRCP(G), has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than 20 years of excellence to his credit in internal medicine, Dr. Hassan has found success as a professor. In this capacity, he teaches courses on medicine at the Rush University Medical Center. Since 2013, he has focused on his efforts as a full-time hospitalist, engaging in patient care, assessment and treatment. He also supervises and teaches medical residents while conducting his own research.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Hassan began his career as a physician for Metropolitan Center Hospital, which was acquired by Ohio State University. He subsequently moved to the Baptist Medical Center for two years and joined Rush University Medical Center in 2013. Additionally, he is a member of the American Medical Association and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, he serves as a volunteer physician for the American Red Cross and provides COVID-19 vaccinations through Rush University Medical Center.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Hassan earned a Higher Secondary School Certificate from Adamjee Science College in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1994. He went on to attain a Doctor of Medicine from Jinnah Sindh Medical University in 2001, undertook a residencies in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Northwell Health in 2005 and completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in 2009. Well-qualified in his field, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds medical licenses in the states of Ohio and Illinois.
In recognition of his excellent work, Dr. Hassan received an Award for Excellent Patient Care from Rush University Medical Center. He was also admitted as a fellow to the American College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Looking toward the future, he intends to make further advancements in his field, enabling him to rise to positions of increasing responsibility.
