Dr. Hallowell taught middle school in Centennial School District in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She also taught a vocational co-op program at Upper Dublin High School in Fort Washington, and Upper Dublin High School in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. In addition she taught school in Philadelphia, Hornsby Park in Australia, and Naples, Florida.
Highly educated, Dr. Hallowell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Pennsylvania State University. Later she received a Master's Degree in Education Administration at Rider College in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. In 2002, Dr. Hallowell received a doctorate degree in education curriculum from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2003 Dr. Hallowell received an award for her dissertation from Temple's honor society, Omicron Tau Theta Honor Society.
While teaching, Dr. Hallowell has enjoyed spending time with students doing charity work by collecting Christmas toys and clothes for children in a foster home. Also they performed plays and participated in puppet shows for the local library.
Outside of her primary career endeavors, Dr. Hallowell has been a real estate agent, a landlord of a renovated four-apartment building, and a cosmetology teacher.
Grateful for her professional success, Dr. Hallowell credits her family, as well as several mentors whom she met in college and during her career. She hopes to be remembered by her students and former colleagues for being a kind and helpful teacher who truly cared about the importance of education. Looking toward the future, she aims to publish her first children's book.
