CINCINNATI, OH, October 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles A. Wiley has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Wiley is the owner of Let's Get It Productions, a non-profit organization, Let's Get It Productions Business Center and Y.P. Home Technician Remodeling Company. Born in Cincinnati as the youngest of 10 children, Mr. Wiley faced considerable obstacles in his formative years, which he has since chronicled in his self-published autobiography, "To God Be the Glory! We Must Never Give Up!: This Is My Story Growing Up Black in America." The book tells the story of Mr. Wiley's struggles with racial profiling and police brutality.
As a result of his difficult relations with law enforcement, Mr. Wiley filed a lawsuit against the Cincinnati Police Department, in which he became one of the main plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit against the Cincinnati Police Department. This led to the establishment of a Collaborative Agreement to address police reform; it is now considered a standard for successful systemic change in law enforcement around the world. A motivational speaker, community leader, activist and mentor, Mr. Wiley has spoken at various national conferences and on radio talk shows heard around the country. Additionally, he founded Black Positive Brothers and Sisters, a nonprofit organization that educates and enhances African Americans, as well as Black Positive Brothers/Motivating Youth, through which he established the annual Youth Unity Extravaganza Scholarship Awards Banquet. Additionally, Mr. Wiley sponsored the Stop the Violence Summit Truce, which was instrumental in decreasing territorial violence among youths in the local area.
In recognition of his civic efforts, Mr. Wiley has been honored many times, earning the Citizen of the Week Award, the WIZF-FM Unsung Hero Award, and the Image Makers Emerging Leader Award from Applause Magazine. He also received the Martin Luther King Jr. Keeping the Dream Alive Award from St. Mark's Catholic Church, the Profiles in Courage Award, and the Legacy Award and key to the city of his hometown, Lincoln Heights OH. Inspired to become increasingly involved in motivational speaking, Mr. Wiley intends to transition his remodeling business to his family so that they can play active roles in its growth and success. His motto is "We Were Born To Win (Don't Stop, Never Give Up)."
