Notably, both of Mr. Vasilas' parents were chefs. His father worked in the industry for 25 years at a Greek restaurant and owned a bakery in Oaklawn, IL. While coming of age, Mr. Vasilas began learning how to cook and bake while educating himself on the administrative side of the business. When his father passed away, he gathered all of his recipes and began implementing them into dishes of his own devising. Prior to relocating to the Chicago area, Mr. Vasilas owned and operated cafés and restaurants in Florida.
Recognizing his accomplishments, Mr. Vasilas has been featured in several local newspapers for the success of his restaurant. He was also honored to be selected to attend the August 2022 business exposition at a local museum in Chicago. Mr. Vasilas' restaurant was just one of three of those nominated to join the event.
