VALLEY STREAM, NY, October 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dino Riese has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With 25 years of expertise to his credit, Dino Riese has excelled as an entrepreneur, web designer, and graphic artist since 1997.
With an affinity for art since his youth, Mr. Riese first noticed his talent in the aesthetic areas of design when he would draw his favorite characters, like the Ninja Turtles, Super Mario Brothers, bubble letters, and especially graffiti art in classic black books as a graphic artist. By the time he was 18, he had spearheaded his own company, DinoRiese.com Inc., where he would build websites for surrounding businesses in the New York area. After graduating high school and starting a web design business, Mr. Riese attended Nassau Community College, receiving an associate degree in liberal arts and science in 2000. He also bought a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach One Fastback that he began to restore with his father at age of 19.
While working at John F. Kennedy International Airport for Delta Airlines as a ramp agent/aircraft load agent supervising terminal gates, Mr. Riese went on to matriculate at the New York Institute of Technology. There, he attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in computer graphics in 2003 and a second Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual arts education in 2005, both magna cum laude and with presidential honors.
Upon taking on an assignment as a substitute teacher at his former high school shortly following September 11th, 2001, Mr. Riese realized he loved working with special needs children and found that his aesthetic skills could drive kids to learn, as art is a window to all subject matters. Now pursuing a career in education as an art teacher, he graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 2007, this time with a Master of Science in instructional technology, summa cum laude with honors, attaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Shortly thereafter, he became certified as a New York State educator in Visual Arts Education and an Educational Technology Specialist. He landed his first full-time job in Brooklyn, New York, at the Willoughby School I.S. 162.
A few years after his father's death in 2003, Mr. Riese completed the restoration of his 1969 Mustang in memory of his father. With his determination and skill, he won more than 130 trophies at car shows in New York and New Jersey, and was ranked in the Top 3 at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania for his class in the Ford Mustang category. Mr. Riese would often be seen in the local newspapers with political leaders who funded car shows, as he won many shows as a Valley Stream resident. He realized his father was with him in spirit as he often saw signs of him as he drove when coffee trucks passed him.
Continuing to grow in his professional life, Mr. Riese took a job in Long Island City, Queens, teaching graphic design and web design at the high school level. Likewise, he established a YouTube channel that enabled him to differentiate his curriculum's scope and sequence for special education learners and honor students alike to advance at their own pace on all mobile devices, tablets, and home computers while delivering instruction in the classroom. In addition, he had taught adult education in Far Rockaway and Jamaica, Queens after his full day of teaching high school. After three years in this post, he chose to refocus his attention back on his web design company DinoRiese.com Inc.
Today, DinoRiese.com Inc. is a top-level web design, SEO, and hosting company in the New York area operating out of Valley Stream, New York. Specializing in website design, he constructs mobile responsive websites for businesses of all scales. Additionally, the company offers web hosting, blog creation, creative content writing, and specializes in organic SEO ranking. As the owner, president, web designer, and graphic artist, Mr. Riese has accepted numerous awards on the company's behalf, as well as the John J. Theobald Achievement Award in Instructional Technology, presented by the president of the New York Institute of Technology.
Alongside his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Riese has excelled as a technology teacher and the department chief of Computer Graphics, Interactive Media, and Visual Art for the New York City Department of Education at his school in Queens, New York. In addition, in 2018, he began running his own bed and breakfast via Airbnb, where he is a consecutively established super host.
To remain abreast of his industry and interests, Mr. Riese maintains membership with the New York State Art Teachers Association, The Mustang and Shelby Club of Long Island, the National Geographic Society, and the United States Judo Association. He is also an honorary member of the National Academy for Future Scientists and Technologists Board of Educators. In 2003 and 2004, respectively, he was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. On August 10th, 2022, Mr. Riese was featured in the Wall Street Journal for a Lifetime Achievement Award for his professional education career and web design business.
Upon reflection, Mr. Riese attributes his success to empowering his students to become professionals in their field while utilizing their desktop publishing, web design, and graphic design skills to be better in any of their pursuits. To showcase his students' abilities and growth, he created StudentPortfolioNY.com, which displays his student work galleries to show colleges for online portfolios and recruitment purposes. Mr. Riese has connected the website to the scope and sequence of his YouTube channel, allowing students to work at their own pace following his curriculum to become successful graphic and web designers. Mr. Riese certified more than 1,000 students in the entire Microsoft Suite and currently advances his students into a specialized curriculum he developed using Adobe Photoshop, coding, web design, and SEO. Once his students master Adobe Photoshop and learn to code HTML5, CSS, PHP, and other necessary languages such as Java Script, he provides his students with his personalized themes for mobile responsive website designs so they can apply these skills to their future as he does for his business outside of the classroom. The final phase of Mr. Riese's curriculum is to create a business proposal that reflects all the services DinoRiese.com Inc. provides at the school. Students develop business cards, letterheads for their company, graphic designs for advertising in hard/soft copy, and a website for their company. The final stage of this curriculum is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for students to rank their businesses at the high school level. Outside the curriculum, Mr. Riese assists his students in doing freelance work as they attend college, using his high-demand skills in front of the computer to earn extra income as students.
He also credits his success to the words his father once said to him, "Son, you love art, and you are very good with computers. It would help if you looked for a field that will nurture your talents and pursue what makes you happy. If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life." Mr. Riese has uttered those exact words to many students in his class when they request direction on a career path.
Mr. Riese is now receiving his second master's degree in educational leadership and is working toward attaining his building and district administrative New York State licenses. He is also pursuing his doctorate in curriculum and instruction. He hopes to assist other educators in using his differentiated approaches to art, graphic design, and technology to enhance education at the K-12 levels nationwide with his online curriculum at TeachersPayTeachers.com. Planning for the future, DinoRiese.com Inc. will be passed down to his two children, Dennis and Lucas, so they can continue to be creative and successful on the foundation built by a dedicated father.
