Mrs. Cohen-Barbieri was born in Israel. After beginning her career as a teacher, she attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and earned a bachelor's degree in law and political science, which included an internship as a court-appointed special advocate for Bergen County Supreme Court, where she investigated abused and neglected children. That experience inspired Mrs. Cohen-Barbieri to want to be not just an investigator, but the best investigator in the field. Prior to establishing Global Intelligence Consultants Inc., she honed her skills as executive vice president of British American Consultants, a firm in New Jersey that dealt with international intelligence.
Mrs. Cohen-Barbieri attributes her success to her strong instincts and an innate ability to identify dangerous situations. She is proud that her profession enables her to help good triumph over bad.
