Originally acquired by BO/GAR Enterprises Inc. in 2008 as a production manager, Mr. Knoblauch continually progressed, earning opportunities in sales and logistics between 2011 and 2017 and subsequently as the company's vice president. In 2020, he was elected to serve as the president, a position that enables him to showcase his expertise in the industry, while also managing an entire team of shop supervisors and the daily operations of the facility. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Knoblauch inspects the fabrication shops, conducts meetings concerning production, shipping, and quality issues, and creates and evaluates growth opportunities.
Notably, BO/GAR Enterprises Inc. was founded in East Peoria, Illinois, in 1984 before it relocated operations to the city of Wyoming in 1989. In addition to offering chain management, lean manufacturing, and high-quality products such as computer numerical control lathes and mills, coordinated measuring machines, lasers, welders, and robotic cells, the company strives to provide outstanding customer service. Furthermore, BO/GAR is recognized as the singular supplier of commutator poles for General Electric Company. The company is also a certified Caterpillar Inc. supplier and is QS-9000 certified.
Grateful to have been surrounded by several substantial mentors throughout his career, Mr. Knoblauch is especially thankful to Andy Dwyer, the former president of BO/GAR, who taught him the administrative, financial, and human resources aspects of the business. Looking toward the future, Mr. Knoblauch is determined to continue expanding the organization by attracting more customers. He also aims to open another division that will allow him to establish stronger relationships with clients, including Catepillar Inc., which is presently the company's biggest customer.
Mr. Knoblauch is frequently engaged with various local organizations and events that support his community. Presently, he is active with the Spoon River Days Association, a group that organizes festivals throughout the city of Wyoming and the surrounding area.
To remain aware of developments in his field, Mr. Knoblauch is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Recognizing his expertise, Mr. Knoblauch was the recipient of an Illinois Workforce Partnership Award in 2022.
