Drawing on more than four decades of expertise as an engineer, Mr. Campbell serves as the president and principal of Geiger Engineers, a company recognized for its innovative engineering of tensile structures, long-span roof structures and sports facilities. Mr. Campbell, who has served Geiger Engineers since its founding in 1988, is distinguished for his expertise with unique specialty structures, such as cable and retractable or movable structures. In his role, he is responsible for business and project management, strategic development, and design and construction. He also sits on the board of directors of Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., a business established by his great-grandfather and partners in 1904 as well as for Horse Creek Coal Land Company.

Domestically, he also considers the Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York a notable accomplishment, as well as the new dome structure on what was formerly known as the Carrier Dome, now the JMA Wireless Dome, at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Well regarded for his contributions to the field, Geiger Engineers is a two-time recipient of the Excellence in Engineering Award from the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations for projects he has led.
Mr. Campbell attributes his success to his passion for the field of engineering, as he finds his work to be intensely interesting and challenging. Looking toward the future, he will be changing his role soon. When Geiger Engineers was created, it was stipulated that when a principal or shareholder reaches the age of 65, the individual must sell their stake over a four-year period. Having recently turned 65, Mr. Campbell will be selling his stake, relinquishing control of business operations and concentrating more on the design aspects of the firm's practice.
Prior to joining Geiger Engineers, Mr. Campbell was an associate at Geiger Associates and an engineer and analyst at Geiger Berger Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, cum laude, from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a licensed professional engineer in 30 states and four Canadian provinces.
As a commitment to his field, Mr. Campbell is active with several industry-related organizations. These include the American Society of Civil Engineers, the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures, and the Entertainment Services and Technology Association. He is also has been volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and supports Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos.
