Since 2021, Mr. Zarkhosh has served as a manager of risk management for Capital One, where he reviews corporate documents, business practices, and policy to ensure they are in line with regulations. He also reviews the company's documents from an audit standpoint, guiding the staff on how to navigate audits, while gathering the information they require.
Prior to his current role with Capital One, Mr. Zarkhosh began his career as an in-charge auditor for Deloitte in 2004, until becoming a staff regional accounting manager for the Applied Energy Services (AES) Corporation in 2006. He subsequently served as a legal and accounting consultant for HMSHost in 2008, and then worked as a consultant for Spectrum Careers between 2010 and 2011. Due to the economic recession in 2010, he had limited employment opportunities when graduating from law school, and decided to focus his work on consulting, and helping organizations comply with laws from a regulatory standpoint.
In 2011, Mr. Zarkhosh consulted for Synergy Services, and for Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, working with the latter company until 2014. In 2014, he became an associate attorney for Holley and Levine, P.C. for a year, and subsequently served as a senior associate for PwC from 2014 to 2018. Mr. Zarkhosh then acquired a role as the lead of operational risk management for Navy Federal Credit Union in 2018, where he remained until 2021. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Zarkhosh volunteers with his local churches, and supports food banks in his area.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Zarkhosh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University, cum laude, in 2004. He subsequently attained a Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law in 2010, and received a CALI Award in recognition of receiving the class' top score in Trademarks. Mr. Zarkhosh is admitted to practice law in the states of New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. He is also a licensed, certified public accountant, through the Virginia Board of Accountancy.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Zarkhosh's goal is to become an executive member of a company, enabling him to make significant and positive difference for the business, and provide a better vision for the corporation.
