With more than 45 years of excellence to his credit in financial services, Mr. Cohen has found success as a leader in his profession. In this capacity, he is the president and chief executive officer for Practical Tax and Financial Services, Inc. Since 1975, he has focused on providing tax preparation services and later as a business and investment advisor.
Additionally, he has been a book publishing advisor since 2006 and has served as the managing partner for Inspired Authors Press LLC since 2012. His publishing experience started in 1991, authoring The Secret of the Pros, How to Become a Baseball Card Dealer, which sold all of its initial print run of 25,000 books. He later published several books and now concentrates on advisory services, primarily for self-published authors and publishers.
While developing his financial services roles, Mr. Cohen was the chief financial officer for the International ALERT Academy from 2002 to 2006 and the General Manager of a large nonprofit from 2006 to 2017. Before embarking on his professional journey, he earned numerous professional certifications. He was a registered investment advisor, licensed real estate professional, and currently is a Certified Digital Asset Advisor, Certified Financial Planner, Certified in Blockchain and Digital Assets, Registered Financial Consultant, and Registered Tax Return Preparer. The CBDA, CDAA, and CFP® are recognized by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as professional designations.
Mr. Cohen has served several times as an expert witness in the trading card industry and financial services. He was the expert witness for the plaintiffs from 1997 to 2002 for the largest class action suit ever filed at the time against trading card companies. He was selected from over thirty other experts based on the success and information provided in his book.
In the future, Mr. Cohen intends to continue his work in financial services and book publishing. His goal is to help his clients understand their tax obligations to save on taxes and how to meet them correctly. He provides stellar work with integrity. Mr. Cohen also helps individuals learn about Blockchain and Digital Assets and how to introduce them into their portfolios. Digital Assets are the first new asset class in about 150 years. He will also continue his work in the publishing industry.
