WESTERVILLE, OH, November 10, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra Doris Dolph, BSN, RN, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With many years of excellence to her credit in nursing, Ms. Dolph has found success as a nursing instructor and practical nurse retention specialist for Fortis College-Columbus. Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on mentoring students and helping them adjust to life in nursing school, including how to utilize online course systems. Previously, she worked as a population health nurse and case manager for Trinity Health from 2016 to 2019.
Ms. Dolph began her career as a nursing instructor for Brown Mackie College in 2009. During this time, she was also a clinical coordinator for the urology surgical and clinical services at Wishard Trauma Center from 2010 to 2012. Following this period, she became a nursing instructor for the Hondros College of Nursing in 2013 and served as a tutor for the on-site student success center.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey in health care, Ms. Dolph received RN and BSN degrees. In recognition of her excellent work, she was honored with a Shining Star Award and a National Teaching Award from Fortis College in 2021. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
Within the coming years, Ms. Dolph intends to continue serving as a retention specialist advising new nursing students. She is highly valued by her colleagues and students, leading to the college starting a pilot retention program. In accounting for her success, she credits her desire to do her best each day, as well as her deep and abiding religious faith.
