Ms. Cassell serves as the founder of Amy Cassell Atelier. Founded in 2014 after more than 15 years in the industry, she has developed a laudable reputation for both her skills as an architect and interior designer. Specializing in both residential and commercial projects, with an emphasis on hospitality designs, Ms. Cassell is driven by her ability to remain focused and organized on her assignments, as well as intuitively understanding the needs of her clients.
She begins each assignment without a preconceived style and prides herself on a rigorous design process. Beginning her impressive career in 1998 with Suzanne Lovell Inc. in Chicago, Ms. Cassell spent 12 years dividing her time between the New York and Chicago offices, where she focused on the design of private estates. She subsequently spent another four years as the design director for Pierre-Yves Rochon in Chicago. During this time, Ms. Cassell frequently traveled from the Chicago to the Paris office and worked with investors on designing luxury hotels.
Ms. Cassell's affinity for architecture and design began to take shape when she was just a child. Noted for her creativity, she began drawing floor plans and model houses in elementary school. After graduating from high school, she was accepted to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in architecture, cum laude, in 1998. She holds certifications through the Council for Interior Design Qualification, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
To support her professional endeavors, Ms. Cassell is a member of the IIDA, the ASID, and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. Highlighting her achievements, she was named as a Top Designer in the Beyond Black Book Series and as the Ground Breaker in Luxe Interiors and Design Magazine.
