In order to remain aware of the latest trends and changes in the profession, he maintains membership in, and closely follows, the International City/County Management Association, the Texas City Management Association, and the American Society for Public Administration.
An expert in the field, Mr. Alexander has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in government from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University. He is a graduate of the Texas Municipal League's Leadership Academy and recipient of the Emerging Public Administration Professional of the Year Award given by the Central Texas Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.
