Mr. Bennett has secured 15 U.S. patents in automotive glass processing.

For more than two decades, Mr. Bennett has served an instrumental role at his company, Glasstech Inc., in Perrysburg, Ohio, as a EPB Systems, Product Line Manager, which he joined in 2000. During his tenure he has utilized his more than 50 years of automotive glass machinery and process experience. Mr. Bennett frequently consults on matters regarding the EPB system, which he was notably responsible for developing, as well as on various technical projects.
Glasstech Inc., which was founded in 1971, serves as a global manufacturer of glass processing and tempering technology for the solar, automotive, and architectural glass sectors. Expanding substantially over the past 50 years, it presently has several hundred automotive and architectural glass processing systems running worldwide.
Throughout the course of his career with previous companies and recently Glasstech Inc., Mr. Bennett has secured 15 U.S. patents in automotive glass processing. He also had the opportunity to travel to 42 countries where automotive glass fabrication systems are located during his 54-year career. Looking toward the future, Mr. Bennett plans to continue doing great work, while also slowly preparing for retirement.
Apart from his contributions to Glasstech Inc. and other automotive glass companies, Mr. Bennett has served as the Director of Technical Services for GPAX International Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. A foremost company that specializes in custom tape and reel packaging format, GPAX also excels at custom-designed feeding and protective packaging.
Mr. Bennett served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam War, having spent several of those years working in a military medical testing facility in Germany. Shortly thereafter, he began his career with P.P.G. Industries in Pittsburg in 1968 after a former high school friend had informed him of a position available that required a chemistry background. After interviewing for the position, Mr. Bennett was immediately hired and eventual1y moved into the role of an Automotive Engineering Specialist while also pursuing a college degree at night. He subsequently became a Supervisor of Engineering, Tooling and Quality, on behalf of Viracon in Owatonna, Minnesota, between 1986 and 1989 and the Director of Quality and Engineering for Premier Auto-Glass Corporation in Lancaster, Ohio, from 1989 to 1994. Furthering his career at GPAX from 1994 to 1996 and then to Pilkington/LOF Development Center in Toledo, Ohio, 1996 to 2000 as a Program Manager, where he directly interfaced with the automotive manufacturers on new car models.
Avid about giving back, Mr. Bennett has been involved with several nonprofit organizations, namely Big Brothers Big Sisters, since 1987. An alumnus of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Bennett received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1976.
