Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in his chosen field, Mr. Baraquio has found success as an area manager at CSL Behring, a biopharmaceutical company that manufactures plasma-derived and recombination therapeutic products, since 2019. Bearing a particular specialization in pharmaceutical sales and new business development, he consults with immunologists and neurologists regarding the benefits of various life-saving therapies.
Prior to his work at CSL Behring, Mr. Baraquio earned distinction through his work in pharmaceutical sales on behalf of such companies as Touchpoint Solutions, where he was responsible for new business development and expanding sales metrics within a specific territory, Rexel USA, where he assisted commercial and industrial businesses in Portland, Oregon, and Abbott Laboratories, for which he promoted pharmaceutical and antibiotic products to hundreds of primary care physicians. Additionally, he distinguished himself in medical research as a project coordinator on behalf of the Pacific Health Research Institute, an interviewer for Kaiser Permanente, and an associate at the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii.
Outside of his work in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Baraquio served as a sales account manager with Grainger Industrial Supply, where he worked with various clients in such industries as electric utilities, HVAC, food processing and telecommunications. He initially began his career at Savio Realty, for which he assisted customers in the sale of their homes.
Before embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Baraquio studied at the Dominican University of California, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business and English in 1989. Following this accomplishment, he was designated as a certified medical representative by the CMR Institute in 2008. Presently, he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration through the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Baraquio has volunteered his services as a construction worker with the Greater Portland chapter of Habitat for Humanity since 2018. Previously, he served as a driver for Meals on Wheels People, a nonprofit organization in Portland that provides meals for homebound seniors, between 2018 and 2019.
