ROCHESTER, NY, November 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Vishal Parikh, MD, FACC, FHFSA has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Parikh was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his father, who was a surgeon. He pursued his higher education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, from which he obtained a bachelor's degree in biology and a Doctor of Medicine. Soon thereafter, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of South Florida/Tampa General. In 2018, Dr. Parikh underwent advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology training at Baylor/Texas Heart Institute.
Since 2019, Dr. Parikh has excelled as an advanced heart failure cardiologist with Rochester Regional Health. In this role, he actively treats patients with a myriad of complex cardiovascular issues in the inpatient, intensive care unit, and the ambulatory settings. Moreover, he has been active as the director of the heart failure with preserved ejection fraction program at the aforementioned medical facility. Dr. Parikh has also been designated as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Failure Society of America.
In addition to his primary vocational pursuits, Dr. Parikh has participated in medical mission trips outside of the country. In 2017, he served as the lead physician for one of such trips in the Himalayas, where he provided medical care at numerous remote areas. He is active in research and clinical trials and has published numerous articles in cardiovascular journals. Notably, he has been the recipient of multiple scholarships as well. In the future, Dr. Parikh intends to continue advancing as a clinical heart failure cardiologist and hopeful to spend time outside of work enjoying traveling and exploring new food scenes.
