VIDALIA, GA, November 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Icey Mae Shaikh has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Long dedicated to service on behalf of children, Mrs. Shaikh has distinguished herself as the author of four children's books, many of which seek to promote diversity and inclusion by featuring characters rarely depicted in popular media. Two of her currently published books comprise the iUniverse series, featuring "Alexander's Big Surprise," released in 2018, and "Alexander Gets a New Hoverboard," published in 2021. Mrs. Shaikh also penned "Facing Childhood Fears," a short book offering parents an avenue toward helping their youngsters cope with their fears before bedtime, and "Me and My Baby Sister," which is aimed toward families welcoming a new child.
In addition to her work as an author, Mrs. Shaikh serves as a substitute teacher on behalf of ESS, an educational staffing organization that works throughout 34 states. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Mrs. Shaikh earned an associate degree in management in 1991. Years later, she continued her edification at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), from which she earned an associate degree in early childhood education, with honors, in 2018. Following this accomplishment, she attended Purdue University Global Inc., a public online university, and attained a bachelor's degree in early childhood administration in 2019. Throughout the course of her academic efforts, Mrs. Shaikh earned inclusion on the Dean's List at FTCC, and on the Chancellor's List at Purdue University Global.
In accounting for her success, Mrs. Shaikh credits her fighting spirit, as well as her deep and abiding religious faith. Likewise, she has drawn inspiration from the example of her eighth-grade teacher, who served as a mother figure during her early development.
Outside of her vocational circles, Mrs. Shaikh has been married to her husband, Muhammad, for nearly two decades. Together, they are the proud parents of five children, through whom they have 16 grandchildren. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Shaikh hopes to write more books and, ultimately, leave behind a legacy of compassion for her family to emulate.
