Backed by years of professional expertise, Ms. Allen serves as the founder and co-owner of Kaleidoscope Perspectives, LLC. Through Kaleidoscope, she establishes businesses that assist the disenfranchised and marginalized in her community, including veterans transitioning into civilian life and prisoners who are trying to put themselves on the right path. She also hosted a radio show on Hands Up radio that stemmed from The Kaleidoscope Corporation. Previously, Ms. Allen worked first, as a volunteer crisis pregnancy counselor at PASS, a crisis pregnancy center, then on staff as their community outreach liaison, and finally as the center manager of several of their locations.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Allen gained valuable professional expertise serving in the U.S. Navy for three years and as a stay-at-home mother of her two children for more than a decade and a half. She also sang in The Pentecostals of Chicago (P.O.C.), a community choir, founded by Pastor Dan Willis of Lighthouse Church of All Nations, that recorded on Tyscot Records, (America's oldest Black owned gospel record label).
Prior to her transition into business ownership, Ms. Allen worked as a scale house attendant for Waste Management, as an administrative assistant, front desk manager, and daytime dispatcher for Steiner Security Services, and as a special needs student school bus driver for Alpha School Bus Company. Alongside her work, Ms. Allen has volunteered as a social media pastor for Lighthouse Church of All Nations, and feeding the homeless with Testimony Ministries. She also sings in the All Nations Choir, whose precursor was the Pentecostals of Chicago.
An expert in her field, Ms. Allen graduated from Thornwood High School in 1987. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning a marriage counseling certification, a Breaking Free Certification, and a Caring for People certification through the American Association of Christian Counselors. Over the years, she also authored "The End of the Beginning," which was published under her pen name, PJ LaChele. Though her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in serving as an assistant pastor at Lighthouse Church of All Nations and being a "mom" to many children through her church, the pregnancy crisis center, and various other points of encounter.
