In this capacity, he is the president and founder for both Dave's Interstate Service, Inc. and PTL Sunshine Service, Inc. Since 1976,he has focused his efforts on serving as a consultant for the gasoline industry, while overseeing the daily operations of his own gasoline, coffee drive-thru and convenience store business.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Nassaney is an author, speaker, coach and radio host. He has been an expert caregiver since 1996 and was featured on 41 network television programs concerning caregiving on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox across the country from Hawaii to Washington, D.C. He received "Best Practices Awards" from ExxonMobil from 2000 to 2012, and was honored with a "Best Community Caregiver Award" by The Caregiver Safe Place in 2022.
Looking to the future, Mr. Nassaney's dream is to gain an opportunity to speak before Congress and at The White House about caregiving, advocating for financial support to caregivers, especially those who are unable to work because they already have a full-time job caring for their loved one.
He and his wife, Charlene, are starting Caregiver Wellness Retreats and Masterminds in Acapulco, Mexico, where they have opportunities to bring up to 14 burned-out caregivers to an all-inclusive, 7-day/night world-class villa, as a bonus to his six-month coaching program. He also encourages donors to contribute life-saving scholarships for those caregivers who can't afford to get away.
Dave's new radio show co-host, Carletta Cole, founder of her own non-profit, "The Caregiver Safe Place," also solicits donations from donors to provide caregivers a replacement so they can go on a vacation to get a much-needed break from their responsibilities. It is estimated that 30% of caregivers die before their loved ones do from the stress of their job. Together they are helping caregivers to stay alive! Dave was also approached in 2019 by an independent filmmaker who is producing a documentary about his and Charlene's amazing life together.
