    SAINT HEDWIG, TX, December 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leslie A. Curtisglanton has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on the current reference value. COL Curtisglanton has 30 years as a stellar health professional (10 years as a civilian nurse and 21 years as a United States Army Nurse Corp Officer). COL Curtisglanton was commissioned to the United States Army in 2001 at 40 years old and spent the last 21 years on active duty. COL Curtisglanton retired from her extraordinary military career on October 27, 2022.

With more than 30 years of excellence in healthcare operations, COL Curtisglanton has earned distinction as a leader in clinical quality. In this capacity, she currently serves as the Director of Clinical Quality of Christus Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, Texas, in her civilian role.

COL Curtisglanton's (retired) military roles include Chief of Quality Services, Deputy Chief of Quality Services at Brooke Army Medical Center, Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge of a 30-bed Med/Tele Unit, Director of Hospital Education and Training, Senior Nurse Case Manager for the Warrior Transition Unit, Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge of the Progressive Care Unit (CNOIC), Intensive Care Units, Open Heart Units, Orthopedic Head Nurse, Medical Surgical Units, Neonate Intensive Care Units, Emergency Care Units, PACU and Burn Units. Chief Nurse of the Jarvis Center supporting COVID-19 in New York.

COL Curtisglanton was assigned to Darnell Army Community Hospital in 2001 as a new 1st Lieutenant in the Neonate Intensive Care for 15 months and transferred to an 8-bed multi-service Intensive Care Unit serving III Corp and Fort Hood community of over 140,000 beneficiaries. COL Curtisglanton arrived in Heidelberg, Germany, in June 2005 and was assigned briefly to the Medical Surgical Unit and then moved to the Head Nurse position of the Orthopedic Clinic. COL Curtisglanton was appointed as Night Supervisor of the HMEDDAC for fifteen months before completing her tour in Heidelberg.

COL Curtisglanton arrived in San Antonio, Texas, in June 2008 and was assigned to MICU and then moved to a Clinical and administrative leader of a ten-bed Step Down and Chest Pain Unit. During the BRAC realignment, COL Curtisglanton was selected as the primary Officer to coordinate the movement of the PICU from Langley Air Force Base to SAMMC in San Antonio, Texas.

COL Curtisglanton is one of seven Advanced Master Trainers for MEDCOM in TeamSTEPPS and prides herself on empowering individuals and Teams to perform to their best ability. She had two combat tours to Iraq (2004 and 2010) and was recently deployed to New York in support of the Javits Center in New York as the Chief Nurse. COL Curtisglanton received recognition from Daniel E. Long, Major General, U.S. Army, Deputy Director of Project and Contracting Office, for establishing the Ibn Sina Hospital Wounded Soldiers Donation Program. She coordinated with schools, churches, companies, families, and friends to develop a grassroots donation program that provided clothing, hygiene items, and moral support to combat wounded soldiers from throughout Iraq.

COL Curtisglanton's accomplishments include Lean Six Sigma Black Belt candidate, MedXellence, ILE, OAC, C4 course, Head Nurse Course, TNCC, ACLS, competition of the Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix program January 2007 with a 3.64 GPA, and a doctorate student at the University of Phoenix program for a Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration with a 3.54 GPA, pending dissertation completion and a bachelor's degree in ministry.

COL Curtisglanton is 1 of 20 original Charter Members of the Rotary Club of Hickman Pearl Harbor in Honolulu. A member of the Chordsmen of San Antonio barbershop quartet and a community choir. Additionally, she is a valued member of the International Association of Women of Color and Sigma Theta Tau International.

COL CurtisGlanton received numerous awards and decorations for her commitment and service to the United States Army and Nurse Corp. COL Curtisglanton's awards include the Legion of Merit (LOM), Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Award (MUC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon, and Combat Action Badge.

Within the coming years, COL Curtisglanton intends to complete her Doctor of Philosophy program at the University of Phoenix, earning a Doctor of Healthcare Administration. She is skilled in organizational transformation and process improvement, utilizing her experience to train rising professionals and build effective teams.
