Months later, he had the honor of pushing her wheelchair down the aisle as she earned her high school diploma. For this, and other such accomplishments, he received recognition as the Maryland State Police Trooper of the Year in 1986. Before venturing onto his professional journey, Mr. Reichenbaugh first sought an education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice, with a minor in political science, in 1980. He also studied at the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command University Traffic Institute. To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Reichenbaugh maintained his affiliation with such organizations as the Maryland Writers Association and the National Law Enforcement Museum.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Reichenbaugh credits his authoritative personality and determination to never quit at a task he has set his mind to. Throughout the course of his career, he has long strived to advocate for those who work in public service, especially law enforcement officers and fire fighters.
