In 2002, she had the good fortune to become the owner of the establishment while retaining all the employees, which she continues to lead to the present.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Rodriguez is most proud to have received the Small Business of the Month award from the 35th District Assemblyman, Jordan Cunningham, earning the nomination from a regular customer of the café. Penny's All American Café was also named Business of the Year by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce in 2007 and 2019.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Rodriguez is a member of the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce, having previously served as a board member. She is also an active civil advocate with the Jacqualyn Palchak Breast Cancer Fund, the Association of Amputee Surfers and the Alzheimer's Association California Central Coast Chapter.
Within the coming years, Ms. Rodriguez intends to continue maintaining the café, eventually selling the eatery when she is ready to retire and spend more time with her family. She has consistently offered quality meals and ensured that every member of her crew was treated fairly. She credits her success to the support of not only her dedicated staff, but also to her loving family and community fellows.
