Among her many responsibilities, Dr. Richardson manages directors, who are supported by strong management teams, at both the Louisiana daycare facilities in Slidell and Port Allen. Instrumental in the Academy's continual success since its inception in 2016, she notably oversaw various startup activities, including hiring and training of all staff members, the development of an employee handbook, and other aspects of the academy's rollout, while also delivering the highest ECE standards of excellence and curriculum standards. In addition to surpassing the Academy's financial goals and making a profit within its first year, Dr. Richardson increased enrollment by 400% in year two.
Apart from her work with the Academy of Early Learning, Dr. Richardson is the owner and senior consultant of I-Cube Consulting/Early Learning Consultation Services. The award-winning company offers early learning, general business, and leadership training services to its clients. Looking toward the future, Dr. Richardson aims to host a national conference in the field of early education and leadership, begin teaching at the university level, and start a new business.
During an earlier stage of her career, Dr. Richardson was affiliated with First Family, another Christian educational organization where she helped build the school from the ground up. She also served as the district manager and director for La Petite Academy and as a consultant and director for Open Arms Institute. Furthermore, Dr. Richardson held the role of President for The Academy of Early Learning before being named its chief executive officer. She has served more than 25 years in the field of education.
Dr. Richardson is a member of her local rotary. She has also served on various community boards, including the Concerned Citizens of Saint Tammany Parish in 2022 and as a school board member of the Saint Tammany Parish School in 2019. Other civic interests included serving as a youth leader for Bethany Lutheran Church, as a board member for the Citizen Utility Rate, and as the vice chair of the Gardner Edgerton Republic Party.
Dr. Richardson studied at MidAmerican Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where she received an associate's degree in child development, a Bachelor of Arts in management and human relations summa cum laude, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Art in education, and a Doctor of Education in leadership and organizational change. Dr. Richardson also received certification as a Louisiana Pathways Trainer III.
As a testament to her success in the industry, Dr. Richardson received an Outstanding Leadership Award from The Mirage in 2022, was included in the 2021 and 2022 Top 100 Visionaries in Education at the Global Forum for Education and Learning, and was recognized among the 20 Most Inspiring Women Leaders for 2020 by Women Leaders Magazine. I-Cube Consulting was also named Best Education Company at the Education 2.0 National Conference in 2022 and the Academy of Early Learning was named among the Top 50 Organizations in Education at a conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 2021. Dr. Richardson attributes her success in business to her perseverance and grit and to surrounding herself with individuals that are aligned with her beliefs and values.
