Dimple brings a successful 20-year career in finance to her work as a business owner for Dimpsi-Mehndi, a company specializing in Mehndi "Henna" art, hair and beauty. Using a paste made from natural henna leaves and other organic products, Dimple accurately pipes designs onto clients' hands, creating beautiful designs that lasts for two weeks. In addition to her role as a henna artist, she also handles all aspects of the accounting and marketing for the business.
Born in the United Kingdom, Ms. Sidhpura's passion for art and design began in childhood. Knowing that she wanted to own her own creative business, she earned a bachelor's degree in art and business and finance from the University of Hertfordshire in 1998. After graduation, she began a career in finance and accounting, first as finance overpayments manager for Ujima Housing Association Ltd., earning an Employee of the Year Award in 2004. Later, she held roles as an executive assistant for UPS Supply Chain Solutions, accounting manager for Submarina California Subs, office and accounting manager for the Center for Aquaculture Technologies, account manager for Capital Benefits, and other roles. In 2019, she accepted a position as director of finance and accounting for Bradley Landscape Development, a role she continues today.
While her finance career advanced, Ms. Sidhpura continued her passion for doing henna art, hairstyles and make-up services to the local San Diego community and serves variety of cultures with her expertise. She started creating her own hairstyles on family and friends at the young age of 12, in which her family then requested their hair to be styled by Dimple for several major occasions for weddings and parties. She later learned to perfect her make-up techniques after suffering from troubled skin, which pushed her to find the correct types of make-up and research extensively on using correct products and learning how each chemical and product can interact with the skin. She is a great advisor as told by many friends and clients. She wishes for clients to feel confident and elegant to bring their mind at ease and feel great from the inside that will reflect out and emanate radiance. From referrals and word of mouth, after friends have loved her work, her business grew, until she formalized her side business into Dimpsi-Mehndi. Ms. Sidhpura is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Advisor Interactive by Securities America Inc. Outside of her work life, Ms. Sidhpura is a talented musician who enjoys playing instruments and teaching others to sing and dance. Active in her community, she is involved with BAPS Charities and has previously served as financial treasurer for Valley Elementary School. In the coming years, she hopes to make her side business a full-time job and also launch a fashion line.
