Mr. Valencia decided to open his own restaurant at the encouragement of his customers at a previous restaurant job, where he proved himself as an excellent chef. One customer provided Mr. Valencia with the address of a space to visit as a potential business site; he visited, and while the site was more suited to a fast-food restaurant, he saw its potential. With financial assistance from his parents in Mexico, he managed to open a successful business.
When he is not working at the restaurant, Mr. Valencia enjoys spending time with his wife, Abigail, and his adult children, Martin, 28, and Diana, 19. In the coming years, he is excited to continue running and growing the business, not to get rich but to make enough to live well.
