Since 2022, he has focused his efforts on providing guidance to ensure the safety of researchers. Prior to his present role, he joined the Department of Defense as an industrial hygienist in 2015.
Before beginning his private career, Mr. Yepez served honorably in the United States Army from 2007 to 2008. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 2012 and a Master of Science in the same field in 2016, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. Well-qualified in his field, he is a certified industrial hygienist with the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Yepez has contributed a great deal of research to his field, including co-authoring "Synthesis and characterization of conductive, biodegradable, elastomeric polyurethanes for biomedical applications" for the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A and "Development of dopant-free conductive bioelastomers" for the Scientific Reports of Nature Portfolio, both in 2016. He was also the first author of "Large-Scale Synthesis of Aniline Trimers in Different Oxidation States," which was published in Synthesis of the Thieme Medical Publishers in 2019.
Within the coming years, Mr. Yepez intends to continue his work benefiting the United States government until he eventually retires. He also plans to increase his involvement in giving back to his community while honing his professional skill set and gaining further certifications in his field.
