Mr. Walters is most proud to have helped lead renovation efforts in the city of Houston following the passage of Hurricane Harvey.
HOUSTON, TX, December 07, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rob Walters has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Demonstrating a longstanding proficiency in the commercial construction industry, Mr. Walters has found success at SPD Construction, which he co-founded in 2017. The company notably specializes in building commercial properties, offering their services exclusively for such projects as industrial warehouses, automotive dealerships, office spaces, retail centers and medical facilities. In his capacity as the chief executive officer of SPD Construction, Mr. Walters bears a particular expertise in cultivating effective client relationships, as well as estimations, contract negotiation and project management.
Previously, Mr. Walters built a prolific career in the commercial construction industry for more than 15 years prior to SPD Construction.
To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Mr. Walters has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the National Association for Industrial and Office Professionals and the Houston Automobile Dealer Association, as well as the Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, he is the founder of the Build Them Up Foundation, through which he has aided construction workers and their families who are in need. Notably, he accrued approximately $250,000 during his first annual fundraiser. He also served as a board member of the American Heart Association from 2017-2021 for the Annual Heart Ball in Houston.
Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Walters drew inspiration from the example of his father, who was a commercial architect in his own right. He attended the Texas A&M University between 2001 and 2005, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. Under his leadership the team at SPD Construction has distinguished themselves by receiving several achievement awards, including a Masonry Award and a Precast Design Achievement and Innovation in Design Award, which honored SPD's efforts in the construction of a five-story parking garage, with 50 service bays over a 17' deep detention pond. Likewise, SPD Construction was nominated as one of the Best Places to Work in Houston in 2022.
Mr. Walters is most proud to have helped lead renovation efforts in the city of Houston following the passage of Hurricane Harvey. In accounting for his success, he credits his dedication to hard work and his ability to strike an effective balance between his career and personal life. Looking toward the future, Mr. Walters aspires to sustain the growth of his company by seeking repeat business, working with the right clients and hiring career employees, rather than contractors.
