During the early stages of his career, Mr. Reed gained valuable international professional expertise in several different legal positions with Bristol Myers Squibb, Bayer Healthcare, and ImClone Systems, before becoming General Counsel for the multinational bone and tissue processing company, Osteotech, Inc., where he maintained responsibility for negotiating contracts and guaranteeing compliance in manufacturing, development, and marketing. Additionally, he has built upon his expertise through his work with Fay's Inc., Scolaro Shulman Law Firm, Hancock Estabrook, LLP, F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse, Inc., Rondaxe Pharmaceuticals.
Alongside his work, Mr. Reed serves as of counsel to the New York State Association of Incarcerated Education Programs, Inc., and previously contributed to his community through the Central New York Enterprise Development Fund, Serenity Women's Center, ACR Health, Westhill Central School District Educational Foundation, and the Upstate Minority Economic Alliance. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Reed aligns himself with the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, while regularly speaking to such international groups as the Georgian National Bar Association and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
An expert in his field, Mr. Reed received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Dartmouth College in three years and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law.
