During the early stages of her career, Ms. Martay co-founded Selling, a magazine co developed with Cap Citi / ABC, she helped launch Hippocrates/Health magazine and eventually owned by Time Inc. She also helped launch Science 80 magazine and worked with the initial launch of Working Woman Magazine. In conjunction with her work, she is also the founder and executive director of ArtW Global and was a member of the board at the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Institute for Women in Art at Rutgers University.
An expert in her field, Ms. Martay completed liberal arts and economic geography courses at Rutgers University, architectural courses at Boston Architectural Center and painting courses at the San Francisco Art Institute. Due to the reporting success of City Limits, the organization has been featured in the New Yorker. Additionally, she received a Business Leadership award in 2016. Though her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Martay is most proud to have motivated and mentored women and then established ArtW, a non profit organization that advocates for women artists worldwide. The cornerstone of her success lay in her persistence and innovation by marrying her creativity with her business acumen. In the coming years, Ms. Martay aims to help the organization gain momentum and continue to foster women in all the arts.
