In this capacity, he is responsible for managing deliverables and multifaceted teams of 12 to 16 people on a variety of complex projects. In addition to his main vocation, he serves as a senior architect and project manager at STV Inc., as of 2017. Prior to this role, Mr. Russo was active as a level three architectural designer and a deputy project manager at STV Inc. from 2013 until 2017.
Mr. Russo initially began his career as an architectural designer at Mihai Radu Architects PLLC, where he served from 2004 until 2005. He continued his vocation in a similar capacity, working as an architectural designer at Mancini Duffy and, subsequently, at HOK from 2005 to 2008. Following this post, Mr. Russo garnered expertise as an architectural designer and a senior architectural designer at HAKS, also known as ATANE, between 2008 and 2013.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Russo pursued an education at the Parsons School of Design of The New School, where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in architectural design in 2005. He continued his academic efforts at Pratt Institute, earning a master's degree in architecture in 2009. As a commitment to his field, he has been certified as a construction manager, a project management professional and a registered architect in the states of New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington DC. Additionally, Mr. Russo has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Construction Management Association of America and the Project Management Institute.
Well regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Russo has received multiple awards, including the Project of the Year Award from STV Inc. in 2017, the Engineering Excellence Awards in 2013 and 2019, and the Employee of the Year Award from HAKS in 2012. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud of his work at STV Inc., where he helped build adequate living facilities for prison inmates. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his perseverance. Looking toward the future, Mr. Russo aspires to be more involved in important infrastructure projects that can impact the lives of many people for generations to come.
