Prior to his current role, Mr. Morris and Randolph Schneider co-founded and managed Morris & Schneider for 46 years, and during those years they were the founders and named partners of a number of law firms. Morris & Schneider was primarily a real estate closing firm, which also handled default work for the real estate industry. At its height, the firm operated in 20 states with 1,300 employees. He then became a co-owner of iMailTracking, a courier service with operations in five states. In addition, he was a partner in a nationwide default firm, called Moss Codilis. In the 1990s, Mr. Morris created a company called New Invoice with his business partner, Tom Prior, another partner of the law firm. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Adelphi University in 1966. He then attained a Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1971. While he was earning his JD during the day, he would teach classes at night throughout the West Side of Chicago. In honor of his professional accomplishments, the 10th floor of the Chicago-Kent College of Law was called Morris Floor.
Following his retirement, Mr. Morris is an accomplished musician with his own company, Art Morris Music.
